Capturing HD Footage Printing to Tape as SD
 

Hello,

I have an XHA1. I've been trying to print my HD footage back to tape as SD footage but for some reason Vegas 8 doesn't seem to allow this.
With my project edited in Vegas I go to Tools>Print to HDV Tape but the program doesn't recognize my camcorder with my project settings set to DV Widescreen.

If anybody could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

U have to go to: Printo to Dv tapes if you want final SD footage

There's an option Print to Tape but when it comes time to print, the video will play back on my xha1, but when I press the record button, the video doesn't record. Not sure what's going on.

Ah, I figured out the problem. I was pressing the wrong record button. You're supposed to press the record button located on the XHA1s handle, NOT the Big ol' record button on the side.
