slowing down the pich over time

I am trying to get the effect of pressing a finger against a record on a turntable and little by little the sound slowing down until the record stop turning and there is no sound.
How do i do that?

I would use the envelope function for speed and just add a bunch of points and move each point a little lower to slowly change the speed.

you can't add a velocity envelope to the audio track. try splitting the audio clip at the point you want to start slowing it down and holding down CNTL use the mouse to pull the tail of the clip longer. That in effect is slowing it down. Be careful not to go to far with it.

Sound Forge has more options for doing this type of thing with audio.

Thank you for all the replays

There is no software that can do the audio tempo changing by envelope( pitch change is much easier, but change of tempo without change of pitch is more difficult to program), i look for this software for years. Amazing, thay can program the software for video, but not for audio. I tried some wavesplugin( directx and vst) called soundhifter G. It has time and pitch envelope, but it is buggy. Your effect can be achieved with filter in adobe audition or older cooleditpro. It is called ''pitch bender'' and has exactly the one preset you are looking for called ''turntable loosing power''.
bye

Wow I must have totally misread that question, I saw at the end it said there was no sound, so I was thinking you wanted to slow down video only. Whoops, sorry.
