Vegas Audio EQ Adjustments?
Hi All
It just dawned on me that unless I have a problem (like a bit of wind noise etc etc) that I never really do any audio track adjustments other than levels!! What do others use on live tracks and also music tracks. Is it worth tweaking the EQ lows and highs on either a live video track or when you have a music track or is default considered about right??? Any input would be appreciated as a lot of us tend to concentrate too much on the vision and let the audio look after itself!!! Chris |
Those things on the side of yr head work kinda like those things on the front of yr head!
If you see a problem, fix it! If you hear a problem, fix it! If not, leave it alone! |
Sure, of course!!!!
Sound is half your picture, picture is half your sound! After i lock my picture, I'll spend an equal amount of time on sound ...i mean give or take, but you get the idea! Pull out any movie you got, and listen - close your eyes and just listen! its amazing how the audio engineers mix the soundtrack. Its a thing of beauty by itself! I will say this, and this part sucks - just as colour correcting on a computer screen, instead of a broadcast is completely useless you are doing big broad strokes, the same applies to sound. your average computer speakers are horrible, even your top of the line stereo speakers are too "coloured". You need studio monitors (even just an ok pair will help A LOT) AND you need to acoustically treat your room. Sucks i know, but that 's the reality. |
