1440 x 1080/1920 x 1080 footage

My cam is actually shoot 1440 x 1080 avchd although it labeled as 1920 x 1080 by Canon. I've author 1440 x 1080 avchd on a DVD via Multiavchd freeware with great results.

I am planning on get a 2nd cam later on which will also be avchd but will be REAL
1920 x 1080. The questions is should I downconvert the 1920 x 1080 to 1440 x 1080 before I author avchd/BD? Or I simply mixing the two, it does'nt matter.

Hi Bruce, I missed the whole Canon HDV experience, but In the Canon HFS series footage which is acquired at 1440X1080 (below 17Mps footage) is stored as 1920X1080. You can just drop it on the timeline with footage acquired at 1920X1080. I guess its the same with your situation, otherwise Canon couldn't sell the camera as 1920X1080.
