Black or white background
 

I've seen TV show and other internet video that the people sits behind a desk interviewing or talking and the background either black or white. I am thinking they accomplish this by using chroma key effects? or are they other ways around.

I think I'd take the simpler route of taping them in front of a black or white background - whichever I wanted.
