PC Page file, & other settings etc. & AVCHD bit rate in Veg 9
 

What should the PC page file be set to in XP, Vista & Win7 in relation to installed memory and are there any other PC settings that I should be aware of for optimizing editing in Vegas Pro 9 ?

Also I have read that Vegas only handles AVCHD at 17 mbps. Is this still the case for the latest Pro9d 64bit ?

If this is the case, what is the point in shooting at 24mbps if it is transcoded back to 17 mbps ?

Run your page file system mangaged...I've run it a hundred different ways for extended periods of time and it just makes no difference.
