Non-contiguous looping in Vegas Pro 9?

1 Attachment(s)
I want to be able to loop two (or possibly more) non-contiguous regions from a clip on the timeline. As an example, in the screen shot I have placed loop markers between the time markers #1 and #2. Is there a way I can place a concurrent pair of loop markers between, say, time markers #3 and #4 and then have Vegas cycle through the two loops, leaving out the middle section (between #2 and #3).

At a wild guess I tried double clicking the chosen sections, one after the other, while holding down Shift. Naah! I knew this probably wouldn't work.

In case you are wondering, this approach would seem a quick alternative to test-out various trial sequences of cuts in a long take, as opposed to inserting and deleting prospective cuts on the time-line from the trimer. Is that beyond Vegas?

Footnote: I tried to do this in the trimmer too, where it would be even more useful.

No, Vegas can only select one region of the timeline at a time.

It may help your edit review workflow to set this up with regions instead of markers. Press the r key when there is a timeline selection. Now, if you double-click between the region markers, it will select that region for loop playback.

Or, you can use the numeric keys while playing to select playback from different markers. Do this with regions and it will loop the region. I think this only works with markers/regions numbered 0 through 9, so, that calls for some deleting of markers and regions if you exceed 10 of them.

Or, I usually set up alternative cuts on separate tracks. Then, during playback, I mute/unmute the upper track to switch between a couple versions.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but may help improve your workflow...
