Matching Diff Audio sources
Working in Pro 10 and have audio from two sources. Have audio from only one source for the first 45 seconds of the video then better audio from the second source for the rest of the clip.
It's noticible when the second audio kicks in and i'd like to make the transition much less noticable. i've lowered volume to match that but the first audio just richer compared to the second audio. Is there a way in Vegas for me to do this? |
Re: Matching Diff Audio sources
If there's any overlap in the audio, do a crossfade between them. The longer, the better.
Otherwise, you can try boosting the mid- and low tones in the "less rich" audio. (EQ) |
Re: Matching Diff Audio sources
Harry, if you can, post about 15 sec. of each source so we can listen and make some recommendations for EQ'ing one to match the other.

Re: Matching Diff Audio sources
Mike,
That'd be great - I have another shoot tonight but should be able post something tomorrow aft! Thanks Harry |

1 Attachment(s)
Hopefully I've attached the wav file. First part is the brighter part that I want to sound more like the second richer wav.

Re: Matching Diff Audio sources
Cheat it.
granted we're listening to a sample so we don't know how the rest of the song is structured, but you just use audio from the good take instead of the bad take. As a musician it sounds like you could drop the measures of "good audio" in the same time as the measures of bad audio. There is a change at about 20sec, does this part of the song happen again? |

I'm not a musician so I subjectively called the second clip the good audio.... what is dropping measures mean Mike? TIA Harry |
Re: Matching Diff Audio sources
Ended up not getting a resolution to this at all. I was hoping to get feedback on the two clips I posted but just said "it is what it is" and let it go.
