Re: DVD looks awful after resizing from 1080i to SD in Vegas11
Then it doesn't sound like you're describing an "interlacing" problem. Is there any way you can post any examples of the problems you're seeing?

It looks good on computer but not when you play it on TV.
I tried to upload it but still too big (only few seconds) |

Michael, open an account at Dropbox which allows you to upload and share any kind of data.
You get 2 GB. of storage space which should be more than enough for a few seconds of video. https://www.dropbox.com |

You could deinterlace the entire video to 30p and move on to the next project, or figure out why the field dominance switches back and forth between different clips and fix the video properly. |
Re: DVD looks awful after resizing from 1080i to SD in Vegas11
Just saw this thread; don't know if I can help but my 2c worth:
From my experience digital video (from tape etc) is always Lower Field First. Video from HD sources, including HDD, SD cards is Upper Field First. Whichever field comes first doesn't seem to matter a damn; the golden rule is DON'T CHANGE THE FIELD ORDER. Rendering it as Lower Field First will do serious things to it from the get-go. Why not try processing the whole thing, from start to finish, including the DVD, as Upper Field First? Best of luck |
