A bit of fun with Vegas
We were shooting some little scenes for a new sketch show channel and this was a last minute addition made for the sole reason that we found a nun's costume (don't ask)! Sadly we only had one crack at this before the heavens opened and we had to pack in.
This was actually just a rehearsal to get the timing right, but it made me giggle so I touched it up in Vegas, using the excellent Colorfast plugin to turn a grey day into something a little more springlike, and added the music/sfx. It was shot on a Panasonic AF101 and although we had been using the wonderful Nokton Voigtlander 25mm f0.9 all afternoon, this was shot using the stock Panasonic 14-140mm. I think I must have stupidly set it to auto iris and the result of this is noticeable at the end. Like I say, it was just a rehearsal, but having said that, I'm now using it in a forthcoming NBFX tutorial! Not looking for praise for excellent shooting, as I'm well aware of the various things wrong with it - and as far as editing goes, well, it wasn't much of a challenge! Just wanted to share a fun little half minute edited in Vegas which we will reshoot properly when we get a chance. |

Great!
Do I detect a Python influence here? |
Re: A bit of fun with Vegas
You got a chuckle out of me on this Monday morning. Thanks!

Re: A bit of fun with Vegas
Thanks all. Yes, it does have a little Pythonesque feel to it - the nun is actually female though . . .!

Re: A bit of fun with Vegas
I think the nun's have been touchy over this pedophile situation lately with the church. I know I've stayed clear of filming them as of late. Long lenses and hidden cameras are recommended...
