If you want to trim on the timeline and slide adjacent clips, you should be rippling. Tried that yet?

Yes, I'm rippling, but rippling's not the issue. Having an efficient (i.e., mouse-free) way of setting the in-point and out-point of clips on the timeline is the issue.
I'll have to look into macros in Vegas to see if there's some way to code what I want. Thanks again for the tips. PS--I also notice that the latter part of a clip is not always automatically selected after a split (S). I'm not sure yet what dictates whether it is or it isn't. |
