Hope this is right forum.

I'm looking at the 15", 2.33ghz MacBook Pro. I see they can be equipped with Parallels Desktop and Windows XP Pro.

Does that mean, for instance, I could run Vegas on a MacBook Pro?

Absolutely. Do a search here and you'll find a few folks already doing this quite successfully.
I think they're using Bootcamp instead of Parallels though.
