Is it hooked up to a firewire port?
If no, get a firewire card. They're cheap.
If yes, try a different cable.
Also, try hooking it to another (known to be working) computer to verify that the camera's firewire port hasn't been fried.

Hi Mike & Chris,

Mike I do use firewire, I also bought a different cable last night and still no go with Vegas however, I tried the camera with Pinnacle studio 9 and it works good.

Chris I use both Vegas 6c & 7c.

Don't know what else to do?

Thanks
Matthew

I hate to suggest it but maybe a re-install of Vegas?

Before you lost the ability to capture, did you make any kind of modifications to your computer? install new software? new hardware? yell at your computer?

Proof positive that using Pinnacle products is dangerous to your equipment's health :-)
