Artifacted/Pixelated preview
I came across a thread about a pixelated preview here but doesn't seem to be the same case.
http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/5205/vegas1cx4.jpg (No thumbnail images allowed here?) I have imported 15 .AVI files. Each .AVI was originally an uncompressed AVI, that I imported into Windows Movie Maker (before I bought VMS 7 Platinum), that were then saved as smaller filesize AVI files. Only 3 out of the 15 AVI files exhibit this problem. Changing the preview mode doesn't fix it. So there may be some WMM voodoo left in the new, smaller AVI files thats causing this? I just installed VMS btw. |
Was just thinking, could this be a codec(s) issue?

wide desktop

Nope I run 2 Viewsonic widescreen 19" 16:10 monitors: http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/4552/vegasoa1.jpg

You have your preview set to "Preview (Full)," which is a low quality setting, and it'll also show only part of the image if the image is larger than the preview window.
Reset to "Best (Auto)." |
Hi, I just changed it and I still have this problem, I tried a few clips, went through all the preview modes.
The problematic AVIs play just fine in Windows Media Player... |
