Finding specific clips on time line and a generated media question
 

How can I directly jump to a specific event on the timeline?
I know that I can right click the media in the Project Media pool and then click "Select timeline events" but that only highlights that clip and then I have to scroll down the entire timeline until I see the clip.
I know I'm missing something here...

Also, when adding a generated media clip to the timeline is there a way to bypass the options menu. If I just want a straight black or white clip I'd like to be able to just drag it on there without confirming the property settings.
