Which mic, is that little one with the GREY foam, shown in most movie makings? at DVinfo.net

I've seen this mic most, in ocassions where 2 or 3 people are very close to each other, having a normal conversation.

I think is the only one, that is very common in most movies.

Any information about the preamp used for this mic, and compression, would be useful too.
