Adaptor or 5D MKII

Hey Guys

Buying a letus or brevis is going to cost me the same as buying a Canon 5D MKII. My point is i shoot weddings so during the day i would like to get my DOF shots. Do i stick with the Adaptors or do i go for the canon. I currently own a canon XH-A1 and i shoot by myself alot of the time.

We have the Canon 5D MKII which is compact and light and the adaptor which adds to the front of the camera i guess it is heavy.

Do these 2 units do the same job.

If you are shooting weddings, I'd go with the adapter and a "normal" video camera instead of the 5DmkII (I currently own both).

The best thing the 5D2 has going for it as far as weddings is the low light performance. Receptions and sometimes ceremonies often have very poor lighting (candle light even) and an adapter will make that even more of a problem (if not at times impossible). In the end the 5D2 may be the difference between a clean saturated video and a dark, noisy desaturated video.

On the other hand a camcorder is easiest to use and has the most consistent results. Fiddling around with exposure and manual focus on the 5D2 in "real time" may be asking for trouble.
