35mm lens adpators for 2/3" cameras w/o flip image

Hi,

More and more 2/3" cameras (HDW-900R, HDX-500, PDW-800,...) now come with a built-in digital image flip feature which I assume should make 35mm lens adaptor rigs simpler, lighter and less expensive. Is anyone offering 35mm lens adaptors with B4 mounts (for 2/3" camera) and without a bulky optical image flip module?

Thanks,

Thierry.

Thierry,

Letus and Cinevate have developed b4 relays for 2/3 chip cameras. I read somewhere in this forum or the other that they might work for adapters without the integrated flip.

Also, brevis is a modular adapter, so I think you can use the relay straight to the brevis without the flip module.

Subject to the maufacturer's confirmation, or from someone's experience I think you may be able to use letus or cinevate relay's on the g35, the sgpro or redrock sans flip.

Hope that helps.

Ted

P.S. I too use the jvchd200 + adapter w/o flip as mentioned by Cameron but these are 1/3 inch sensor cams.

That's correct. The Brevis can be used in non-flip mode on these cameras. For most, our 72mm spacer is required between the unit and our 72mm non-flip achromat.
