Running FCP 5.0.3 - capturing HDV1080i50 from my Sony HVR-A1E with no problems using my iMac G5 2GHz 1Gb RAM. How on earth do I get the edited material back onto the Camera Tape tho? Computer cannot see camera when trying to firewire out!
As discussed elsewhere, this setup works fine albeit a little slow on some of the effects, until this last step. The HDV 1440 x 1080 25fps or 30fps are dimmed in the "View" Menu. Am I destined to have to downconvert everthing to DV just to get a master copy of my edited material!
Any thoughts would be great!!
