Well in tonight's episode I see that the Capricans have developed the DVX-100 in parallel to earth! However it shoots a very poor quality image with big scan lines, and is matted to something like 2.35:1 with chopped off corners....

Hey, it's entirely logical that a civilization capable of faster-than-light travel would use tape-transport video capture! And those fat scan lines, yeah, pretty bad. (Although that effect is pretty much visual shorthand to signify a video image.)

Still, it *was* nice to hear the original series' Glen Larson/Stu Philips score, which I happen to like a lot better than that New Age Meets Gregorian Chant stuff the new version has going.

Have you guys also noticed that, in deference to the producers' "Star Trek" background, there are references to 47 throughout this show, as well? Like in the number of survivors? I was hoping Lucy Lawless' news report would be 47 minutes long.

The whole idea was that the Cylons were hacking into their digital communications and manipulating them. This is why you see all the analog type equipment on the Galactica.

So if the bad guys are using a panasonic camera, does that mean we can see one of the good guys using a canon camera? Sort like on the show 24, the good guys used Macs, the bad guys used Windows.

The question I have is, did they do a season 1 marathon after season 1 ended?
I swear, I have missed each and every episode of season 2 except for the finale.
Someone please tell me Sci-Fi does these marathon's because I really do not feel like waiting for the DVD.

A guy who works for Scifi is on one of the boards I'm on. I will bug him about whether there will be another catchup marathon. Scifi is very congizant of doing this. In fact, more and more channel programmers seem to have caught on to the need to reshow past episodes.

HBO's been doing it since Sopranos+Sex In the City. i would imagine everyone else would follow the leader. i noticed that desperate housewives&lost both caught up a little bit before Season2 premieres.
