Bit of test and loading clips into FCP with the Sony plug-in:

Thanks for posting. I'm considering using them with my HV-30s. It would also work with my other cameras too.

MRC1K XHA1 forum thread...

There is a 27 page thread on DVInfo devoted to the MRC1K and the XHA1.

http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/sony-hvr-...non-users.html

There is plenty of really good information on it. I have an HV30 as well as an XHA1 and will be running tests with the HV30 soon. Will post my experiences here.

It seems to work ok with my HV30 except that it wont control the record function from the camera. I have to press the record buttons on the MRC1K (it's in synchro mode). It is matching the timecode from the camera though. Will shoot be able to post some footage in the next few days once I shoot something interesting and pleasant to look at.

Set to FOLLOW instead of SYNCHRO and it works fine.

What exactly is the difference between FOLLOW and SYNCHRONIZE? The instructions didn't really make sense to me on this function.

Thanks,
Garrett
