Pal - NTSC conversion

Has anyone in the UK had their Canon XH A1 firmware/hardware converted to shoot in NTSC, if so does it work, how much was it and where did you get it done.

Thanks Ian,

The reason I posted this question is because I was in the middle of an NTSC shoot (using my Sony PMW EX3) and the tripod collapsed. The camera hit the deck and lens is a total write off. I need to get the NTSC DVD project completed asap. The Canon will be away for about 10 days, which is too long for me, and I also want to continue shooting tapeless.

I have purchased a new lens for the Sony (£1050) and should be able to continue shooting on Wednesday. I will save the Canon for other PAL work

Thanks for your help

They charge $600 AUD for the conversion here in Oz...

Pretty steep for a software upgrade I reckon
