Bob Zimmerman May 19th, 2006 03:09 AM

That was good.

Tony Davies-Patrick May 19th, 2006 03:20 AM

Ha Ha! LOL! - Great stuff, Dave...I loved it.

Bob Safay May 19th, 2006 03:56 AM

Damn funny and really entertaining. A lot of laughs. Thanks. Bob

Colin Jones May 19th, 2006 08:27 AM

Very funny.
What kind of lighting did you use to get the shots? To my amatuer eye it looked very good.

Glad to supply the world with a laugh or two. Lighting was pretty basic to match the green screen. It was a solo effort so that's me from script to screen in a small apartment. Got to get out more.

Cheers,

It's one of those I wasn't thinking how it looked, because the actor and jokes keep me going. I wouldn't put much more of your stuff on youtube, since they own it after you post. Or at least they can use it without your permission.

Is that true? I would second Bob's advice if that is the case. Dave's sketches are lot better than half the cr*p on TV lately, so it would be far wiser for Dave to host his own website with future footage covered with copyright. At least (hopefully) Dave didn't send the higher res footage to youtube.

I was reading a post somewhere maybe DVX users and the way they were talking you give the people at youtube.com the right to use whatever you post. It's in the small print. So if you write a song even and post it they can use it. Something to check into if your posting there.

this is what it says, plus a lot of other crap.

'For clarity, you retain all of your ownership rights in your User Submissions. However, by submitting the User Submissions to YouTube, you hereby grant YouTube a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicenseable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the User Submissions in connection with the YouTube Website and YouTube's (and its successor's) business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the YouTube Website (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels. You also hereby grant each user of the YouTube Website a non-exclusive license to access your User Submissions through the Website, and to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display and perform such User Submissions as permitted through the functionality of the Website and under these Terms of Service. The foregoing license granted by you terminates once you remove or delete a User Submission from the YouTube Website.'

I'm not a lawyer but it sounds like it can be used by other people

Many thanks for the info. I guess at this point I'm just an artist looking for exposure. Ive snagged a couple of gigs and have had interest from a huge agency in LA from the youtube clips. When I really get a show going I'll be more careful where I expose myself. (insert joke here)

Cheers,
-Dave
