Is this just ME ??!!

Doesn't it bug the hell out of you shooters out there when your girlfriend, wife or mother in law spray their perfume around you when you have your gear out - and you're changing lenses, or doing whatever you do with your camera - or they start cleaning with sprays - and as soon as you smell the perfume or spray cleaner, you hide your equipment as soon as possible?? Is that just me or does it bother anybody else??

LOL I never experienced that... but maybe I'm just in another environment then you...
I think it's just you ;-)

I can imagine people having problems with sand and dust, but with perfume sprays?
Funny story, though :-D

Man, speaking of sand problems.... I was shooting some beach footage on my XL1s when some unexpected wind came out of nowhere and stirred some sand up. Now the focus ring feels kinda gritty. I'm not too worried about it because it stil works great, and I plan on buying the 20x lens from the XL2 soon anyway. I just wish that didn't happen

those unexpected things stink...sometimes sand will work it's way out...or just break down even more...I'm glad I don't shoot around too much sand...I'm more concerned with my girlfriend's perfume....and what those little liquid particles could possibly do to lenses and CCD covering lenses!!

Dean, simple. Go to the store, buy her some good splash on, Chalimare (sp) is nice. Wrap it up with a nice card and give it to her "just because you love her". No more spray, and, it may be an interesting night. Bob

ps. as for the cleaning sprays, well, be damn lucky you have a wonderful woman that cleans.

Your only recourse is to change girlfriend, wife or mother-in-law, or better yet go to a non-interchageable lens camera like the Z1. :)
