Cineform NeoScene & Sony AX2000 AVCHD Cams

Any word on whether the new Sony AX2000 AVCHD cam will work with Cineform NeoScene? I'm contemplating picking one of these babies up but want to be sure Cineform will play nicely with it and it's new "AVCHD2" codec.

I have the feeling that the "AVCHD2" codec is not new, just limiting the codec characteristics to be BluRay compatible. It will very likely work. You could always dig around for some uploaded samples.

I just got my AX2000. I've never used NeoScene before, but I bought it to use with the Sony.

The first clip I transcoded... the video came through fine. The Cineform version did not have the audio however. I'm not sure if it's pilot error on my part, or an incompatibility between the new flavor of AVCHD and NeoScene. I opened a support ticket with Cineform, and I'll pass along their response.

Do you have the AC3Filter installed? The installer should have prompted you for this extra download.

As David and a few others suggested, the problem was pilot error. With the AC3 decoder installed, NeoScene was able to transcode the native AVCHD files from the AX2000, just fine.

Thanks!

Cineform works with Ax2000...but

I am assuming you recorded in 24p mode and converted it to true 24p?
