Next Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group (lafcpug) meeting will be Wednesday, May 26, 2010 beginning at 6:45PM - till we drop at Gallery Theatre in Hollywood Ca.

Doug Hynes will show off one of the most talked about new applications which made its debut at the recent NAB, "get."

"get" is a phonetic search application that works in conjunction with FCP. Doug will demonstrate how you can quickly find and then export content directly into FCP - ready to edit. He'll talk about how phonetic search works (the technology behind 'get') and show everyone examples of how 'get's unique capabilities will you find content more efficiently than ever before.

Big time FCS Moviola instructor, editor, DP and all around Renaissance Man, Andrew Balis will show us how to import and work with Canon DSLR footage with the new EOS Movie Plugin-E1 for Final Cut Pro from Canon.

Jon Chappell of Digital Rebellion will show off the must have FCS Maintenance Pack. FCS Maintenance Pack is a utility pack designed to keep your Final Cut Studio or Final Cut Express machine running at optimal performance and help resolve problems when they arise.

Plus, another round of Stump the Gurus, show and tells, and of course, World Famous Raffle. Also there will be time for you to get up in front of everyone and say what you need to say.
