Nah. The prefs doesn't change anything. Here's the cookie list for those techs that are just curious.

I tried to remove these, then change the prefs, but didn't get anywhere.

vBulletin knows of this one...

This thread, for the admins here, may help.

It seems that it could be the time zone settings or something related to it.

Will there be a fix for this soon? Is there something we should do? Is switching browsers the only solution?

Please be patient Richard. I reminded Chris of this issue at NAB, but as you might imagine, there has been a lot going on this time of year. It hasn't been forgotten, but I can't promise you it will be fixed by any specific deadline.

Problem could be FIREWALL, not browser!

I had the same probs and traced it to a new auto-updated firewall settings that somehow conflicted (after the newest update) with both browsers I use. Try lowering your firewall and if your browser works again normally, you've got the same prob.

It was a stupid "Privacy>Ad/Pop-up Blocker>High" setting and a reset to medium from "high" made everything right...

BTW, I use CA Security Center on this computer

I usually just have problems with Firefox on Mac in general. I can't tell you the number of times the browser just freezes up and I have to force quit it.

Safari seems to work just fine though.

For the past couple of weeks I've had to log on each time with Safari, but suddenly today it works normally.

Hopefully it's fixed... but try again tomorrow before getting too excited. DVInfo is temporarily running on its old server at the moment during maintenance and will be migrating to a new system tonight.
