ag-ez1 vs 953

I own a mx-500 and my dad is in the market for a digital 3ccd camera. I have found one in the paper for cheap an i was wondering if anyone could offer advise. it is written as aj-ez1 however i feel it might be a mispring ag-ez1. does anyone know about this camera. specs etc. is it better or worse than the 500? what is the lense. etc etc.

THanks
Justin

I gave you a bit of info on the other thread you posted a similar question(s).

I think that overall the MX500 is better.

You capture like with any other miniDV cam, but if you want to upload it to your computer, you use a deck or another miniDV cam.

The EZ1 has about 100 lines less of horizontal playback resolution. There is also a lot of "noise" with the EZ1 compared with the PV-DV852. The EZ1 was a good cam for its day...which was what? 6 years ago, or something like that.
