Baseball Opener in Atlanta

I have a 36 MB video of the opening day of baseball in Atlanta. You can download the video by right clicking and save as here. Was shot with the Panasonic DV953, Kodak .6x wide angle, and the Ambico .42x semi-fisheye lenses...

Nice stuff Guy .... looks like you had a nice time except for your team losing!

You have to love opening day - I'm a little sad because this is the first time in 11 years that I have not worked opening day here for the Florida Marlins. Montreal doesn't do TV anyway and I always do the visiting broadcasts, but it was weird that ESPN did't cover the game which they usually do.

Thanks, Rick. Yeah, we had a great time in spite of the Braves losing. Just seeing the people and the pageantry was a treat!

Opening day here is quite an event...and I missed it. It's always a sellout.

They have a parade of cars that circle the stadium bringing each individual player into the stadium and their introduced as they step out. Then all the living Hall of Famers are introduced onto the field. (Stan Musial, Red Schoendienst, Bob Gibson, Lou Brock). Then, in the past, Auggie Busch would drive the Budweiser wagon with full Clydesdale hitch onto the field. This year George W. threw out the first pitch.

They've been doing that for at least 40 years that I remember. The players even carry video cameras and record it while sitting in the cars. Quite an event.

I realize that 36 Meg is a little large for folks on dialup. I have posted some pix and frame grabs in the Member's Album for you.
