Motorized Focus / Zoom

Hi there,

I saw a demo video for the XL2 the set the focus on one object then moved the focus onto another object and then on the shooting the camera was able to move between the two focus meters.

is this posible with the DVX200 !!

Thanks,
Amr

You're referring to the focus and zoom preset functions on the XL2 and XL H1. I'm not certain if this feature is on the HVX200, it would be great if it is included. Does anyone know for sure?

Not in the same way, no. It may be possible to do it through a remote focus/zoom controller; perhaps VariZoom or someone will introduce programmable remote controllers that do that kind of thing. But in the stock HVX200 configuration there is no capability for programmed lens control.

The HVX offers remote focus and iris control via an extra auxiliary input jack on the camera. VariZoom is already in the process of making a remote focus / iris controller for it.
