Ken,

Can you send yours back? I am not trying to be a jerk, but if I was in your shoes I'd rather have all the extra goodies for the same price. I don't know if you bought yours used or from a dealer but most dealers have a pretty good return policy.....especially if you just got it yesterday.

Thanks

Canon XH-A1 TWO- Both Used Once - 2,900

I have two Canon XH-A1 camera I am selling.
I used them both to shoot a Bar Mitzvah.
The cameras worked great- I was paid well- but I am not cut out for weddings or Bar Mitzvahs. So I am selling off the cameras.

I have the original boxes and everything that came with the cameras- cable, charger, manual, etc.

I also have the two extra long life batteries.

I bought new from B&H.
Paid over $3,000 each
Will sell for $2,900 each

Marty,

$305.00 plus shipping on Ebay for the .8.

It was a good deal, as it was hardly if never used. I made sure it had the adapter ring, hood and cap. But for some of the stuff I'm doing, the addition of the .6 for the extra $125 or so, would have made yours a nicer package.

Is it possible to post any pictures. I'm looking into getting into an A1 which has a 72mm thread. I'm looking on the Century Optics website, are these all 72mm threads on these lens so they will work on an A1?

Still left to sell:
Century Optics 1.6 Telephoto adapter = $550
Works well with Sony FX1 or Z1 bayonet mounting.

I will try to post some images tonight. I am not 100% sure that it will work on the A1 because Canon "booby trapped" it somehow. The WA for the A1 is not compatible with the H1....however it is by specification a 72mm adapter. Even if it did not fit directly the .8x CO adapter came with a small space ring that will thread into any 72mm and thus allow the adapter to mount. This was designed for the H1.

I just checked Century Optics site and they sell the same exact part for both the H1 and A1. There is no difference. So according to CO it will work on both.

The biggest benefit is this sucker is light. It is just 10oz whereas the Canon one is....well......heavy! IT fits in a small puch when you are not using it...and I mean small.

I don't think you could go wrong with this. I don't know if the .6x will mount directly to the A1 or not. But for the price it is worth a try.

Thanks.

Well, for the upcoming shoot, I will outfit my zacuto baseplate with a Q-release and shoulder pad, probably adding cavision hand grips to the front. A less expensive path would be to get DVtec's DVRig Pro HD, which is made for front-heavy 35mm adapter setup (available next month).

I don't think the DVrig Pro style shoulder stabilizers have the same freedom as the multirig though. However, If you are shooting without 35mm adapter.... check out my multirig pro :)

You know it eventually had to lead to a plug-in, haha.

I forgot to mention that is does include a free 2gb MiniSD card with an adapter to us it in standard SD card slots. This cost me $29.99 and isn't a lot but it's one less thing that you would need to buy.

Just an FYI Mike, you don't mention single/dual cpu tower and what processor clock speed it runs. Those numbers will figure into the perceived value, of course.
