Re: Multicamera HD-SDI set

Sounds good to me.

De-embedding would indeed work as you describe it, the advantage is that you only have to run a HD-SDI line to the camera (plus whatever intercom system you use). Analog audio...

Re: Multicamera HD-SDI set

I don't think that's possible... You would either have to run the audio seperatly (analog) to the Ronin, which is what we do.. Or de-embed the audio from the camera before putting it into the...

Re: Desisti "Rembrandt" 12K HMI

My military vehicle had asbestos around the exhaust pipes, which can get pretty hot, you can get modern fiberglass style protective stuff to rewrap exhausts now.. it might help here too :)

Re: Connecting XLH1a to Atomos Ninja 2

I must also point out that a CF pro device that uses firewire does not improve the quality of the video recorded.. since the firewire stream is allready compressed..

Going analog (HD or SD...

Re: Fujinon XA17x7.6BERM-M58 2/3' B4 lens

B4 is a general mount that has been around for ~25 years or so.. There used to be a Ikegami B3 mount as well.. But these days all 2/3 broadcast lenses are B4 mount and there is no difference between...

Re: Sony 4K 2/3'' Studio Cam announced - HDC-4300

I wonder about the sensor resolution, if they do it like Grass Valley and Hitachi are currently doing, the sensors are probably only a bit above HD or even just HD.

The main reason to keep the...

Re: GH4 Moire baaad! Help!

While you may want the detail and sharpness as in 4k, detail requirements for SD, HD and 4k are different..
This is why 2/3rd inch broadcast cameras shooting HD have low pass filters in front of...

Re: Will Fujinon TV lens S14x7.3BRM fit on EX3?

The lens you used on the JVC will NOT fit on the EX3 with the standard adapter.

The JVC / BTS (Philips) / Panasonic 1/2" cameras had a lens cable.

The Sony 1/2" cameras had (and have) a lens...

Re: Television Studio Camera - video

United still has LDK-20's and 200/300 I think. Dutchview still has LDK-200/300.
The data cable (the 4 pin one) is still used by both, since it's not an exclusive LDK-10 item. You can hook up an...

Re: Blackmagic Design Production Switcher 4K

You could make a patch panel at the back for it.. Would probably help with cooling as well since the Atem's like to have everything attached..

The major downside about the whole atem series to me...

Re: Multicamera HD-SDI set

We currently use the ASL intercom, it's a basic partyline intercom like clearcom or RTS over XLR cable (which can be looped from one beltpack to another).

I looked up the PortaCom you mentioned,...
