Controlling two HVR-V1s with LANC

I am looking for a way to simultaneously start and stop two V1s shooting two different angles. The supplied wireless remote control works most of the time, but sometimes it does not if the infrared window of the camera is not in direct view.

Is there a way to control two V1s using each camera's LANC with one remote control?

I can't answer your question, but you may also want to think about using something reflective to bounce your remote from the angle it is not currently working.
