HD Quality

I'm about to sell my Sony VX2100 and I'm planing on getting the HDR-FX1 camera. My main use will be taking Video of my kids. I'm figuring they are only young once and I want to get the best video I can afford. I have been reading all up on this camera and I just what some pro's input on the quality of this camera. I appreciate any input you all can give.

I also sold my VX2100...........unless you are using the FX-1 for HDV, there is no difference in quality under good lighting.

HOWEVER-the VX2100 is MUCH better under low light-much better!

Thank's for the reply. I'm worried about the low light not so good on the FX-1. Last week I shot my son's baptism and I used 2 camera's the VX2100 and my old TRV320 and what a difference in the quality with these two camera's. The TRV320 was Grainy due to the low light but the VX2100 had no problem with this. Will the FX-1 be better then my old TRV320 but not as good as the VX2100? I will always be shooting in HDV and at this point if I want to make a DVD I will just downconvert until the new HD DVD recorders becomes available. Thank's again for the reply.
