Sony's offering a rebate deal on these where you get a free copy of Acid.

Sony | Two Great Tools - For One Great Price!

Pretty good reviews and they fit your budget -- $95 at B&H. I just ordered a pair and will test when they arrive.

Also have heard good things about the Sony MDR-V6. About $65 at B&H. I also just got a pair of those but haven't tested them yet.

thanks for the info on Acid with the headphones. I have a set of pannies but to be honest they are not up to the real job. I have been postponing getting a set of 7506's, was talking to the wife about it two days ago!!

I have wanted to look at Acid but did not really want to spend the cash.

I will order mine this week.

I use lil ear buds. I can wear em around my neck when not in use (and when in use for that matter). I just use to to verify signal. I do all the mixing in post.
