Can't replace card A while recording on B

there is very strange thing going on while recording...if I the camera is recording on card in slot B and I remove card from slot A to replace it camera stops recording and on the screen it shows something like this:
A - 78min
B - ---
(it reverses the slots and shows me that in slot A card has ie. 78min - but I HAVE IT IN MY HAND and card in slot B must be restored!). What is going on???

I can replace card in slot B while camera is recording on card A but not vice versa. Any ideas?

what version is your firmware currently at? if it's an older firmware you might need to update it, might have been a fix, but i don't know this for sure.

Are you using SxS cards or one of the SDHC variants? If it's the latter, that may be your problem. I've never had a problem swapping any of my SxS cards while in Record mode.

Okay, I was just trying to ease him down gently instead of saying "Uh, dude....your camera's broken".

Are you removing the whole mxm/sdhc card or just the sdhc card ?
I had this same problem in the early days of mxr/kensington adaptors, i tried to remove just the sdhc card leaving the adaptor in the slot, no no, the whole slot must be emptied.

Paul.
