just got ex1r replaced
 
thank god for the hartford insurance policy i have, got my new ex1r today, one question, i formatted the 16gb card that came with the camera and below that next to the b slot where i dont have a card is set of numbers on the lcd, never noticed before , what is this

It sounds like you are looking at the clip name display. It's one of the best features of all the XDCAM cameras and being able to easily see the clip names while we shoot saves us tons of time in post.
However, it can be turned off if you don't like it.

This was introduced in 1.20.

Go into the OTHERS menu, select "Plan.Metadata," then scroll down to "Clip Name Disp:" and set that to "Off" to turn it off.
