Hello from Wales (UK) at DVinfo.net

Can't believe it took me so long to find this forum! I've posted on various other places before (SimplyDV in the uk, Camcorderinfo etc) and hope to make myself at home here. LOVE the fact everyone uses their real names, and so many representatives from various companies are here, and people who are experts in their fields. Gives a lot of hope to us kids!

I'm 23, and I run two Sony cams.. the TRV950 and the PD150. I love toys, and plan on making my PD as big and heavy as possible! For the time being I'm mainly shooting at loud gigs, as I'm the only one with a good camera, I have good ties to the bands and promoters, and above all.. its really good fun!

I want to plan doing short films and Music Videos in the future, and I know a few people interested in working alongside, so I'm mainly here to read up as much as I can and gain confidence to pick up the camera and make something.

I know Robin is from Cardiff as I know him from his posts on SimplyDV, but not sure if anyone else is around here..

Welcome James, I've posted at simplydv myself and recognize your name. I have an MX500(PAL) I'm having a lot of fun with. There is a chance I will be doing my day job over in Germany soon and hope to travel and meet people this spring and summer.

Didn't we have to remind the English that Irish Whiskey was superior to Scotch?

heh hey guys :) germany sounds fun, i haven't travelled in ages but i know i'd be dragging more equipment than clothes now!

as to the valleys, nah i'm from cardiff mate :) never been much further north than brecon!
