Changing capture destination in Vegas

When capturing video, the files always go to the "documents" folder. I'd like the files to go to an external hard drive. Is there a way I can set up Vegas to place captured files automatically in the external hard drive? Thanks in advance for all replies.

Keep in mind that VidCap defaults to the last used folder so, if you're starting a new project and have a capture folder in the folder for that project, you'll need to change the path to the new folder location.
