Converting HDV8 .mov files for Vegas?

I have a project that was rendered to a .mov file using HDV8 codec in FCP. Is there any way to convert this to a file vegas or dvd architect will recognize? I get audio but no video in vegas. It plays fine in VLC media player. I tried converting to avi in MPEGstreamclip but no luck, still audio no video.
