How do I import SD DVD disc to the timeline?

I ripped a movie DVD to my hard drive, not as an .iso, but as a hard disc folder. There are a bunch of .vob files in there, among other types of files. Do I drag them all to the timeline, or only the .vob? When I select Import from the menu, there are several options (hard disc, camcorder, recording unit,....) none of which worked.
Thanks for any advice,

Here's a very useful tip that I discovered some time ago, Hope it helps.

Vegas allows you to open up a DVD .IFO file. This imports the entire .VOB chain for both video and audio tracks.

Click File / Open, then navigate to your VIDEO_TS sub directory and enter *.IFO in the File name input field. For a regular DVD you will see a VIDEO_TS.IFO, and a VTS_01_0.IFO. Select the VTS_01_0.IFO file and click on Open.
Don't try this on a DVD disk because Vegas will try to build an .sfk file containing audio peaks in the VIDEO_TS directory.

Vegas can also import the DVD with File -> Import -> DVD Camcorder Disc, but in this case the DVD video track will be divided by the chapters, so it is acceptable only with the real camcoder disc.
To view the IFO files as reccomend Mike in the Vegas Explorer is necessary in View (the most right button) chose all files.

I did as you instructed, but after I typed in *.IFO in the input field, then hit OK. Nothing happened. No other files appeared for me to select the 2 files that you said.
Thanks,

Sorry about that Norris. I should edit my original post to clarify things.
When you browse to the VIDEO_TS folder using "Import Media", it will appear to be empty until you select "All Files (*.*) in the import box. Once you do that, all the files will be visible. Select the appropriate one, import it and drag it to your timeline.
