Bernard Mendiburu's New Book
Has anyone read Bernard's latest book? I loved the first one.
3D TV and 3D Cinema: Tools and Processes for Creative Stereoscopy Is it a compliment to his first? I've read the first one and I'm debating buying the latest version. |

re: Bernard Mendiburu's New Book
I bought it last year, started to read it but just been too busy to finish it. It's a complement to his first book, which I really enjoyed, but haven't got far into this new one yet.
So I think I'll just get off this Mac and go and read it... |

re: Bernard Mendiburu's New Book
Thanks Neil, if it's a compliment to the first I assume it's worth getting. His first was one of the best how-to's I've read and you read a lot of those in this business.

re: Bernard Mendiburu's New Book
Compared with the first book of Mendiburu, to my opinion the second one is really weak.

Re: Bernard Mendiburu's New Book
Well, I'm about 80%+ through Bernards new book and I have to say I've found it very useful, so find myself slightly disagreeing with Wolfgang on this :)
It's pretty up to date (which means it will probably go out of date much faster than his first book) but I thought a lot of the live 3D TV broadcast experience in particular was really interesting. There are also some excellent articles included from Steve Schklair and Yves Pupulin to name but two. A different book to his first one but well worth buying in my opinion. |

Re: Bernard Mendiburu's New Book
Just finished the book a couple days ago. It's is a compliment to the first and barely covers any repeat territory. I thought it had a lot to offer including insights from other 3D shooters. I was especially pleased to see Bernard talk about opinions that had changed since his first book. For example, screen-size is less of an issue than he made it in the first book which has been my experience as well. It's certainly more sprawling but still packed with a lot of information.
