Re: Stereo3D Toolbox v4 released with new-onscreen controls and FCP X compatibility.
Hello Carlton,
The Identify Left / Identify Right plug-ins are for precisely that - to identifying the left and right images. They squeeze the aspect ratio o each image by 50% and move the clips to their respective sides of the canvas - creating a side-by-side. If you watch very closely at 5:35 you will see the left image squeeze by 50% and shifted to the left edge of the canvas. Dashwood Stereo3D Toolbox v4.0 Walkthrough - YouTube This is repeated at 5:47 but the Canvas isn't visible in the frame so you can't actually see the effect. But I assure you it squeezes the right clip by 50% and shifts it to the right edge of the Canvas. At this point the left and right clips sit in the timeline as a side-by-side. This sequence must now be nested into a new sequence. Once nested you can apply Stereo3D Toolbox to the nested sequence. This is described at 5:54 in the tutorial. Dashwood Stereo3D Toolbox v4.0 Walkthrough - YouTube The Identify plug-ins are programmed to know when you select Left or Right output from the Output Mode in Toolbox. They will only pass a single eye (depending on what has been selected) so you can output discreet, full resolution files for 3D BluRay, DCP or HDCAM SR. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns regarding the workflow. |
