Premiere on Mac individual clips at DVinfo.net

Downloaded the trial of PP for Mac, I am used to PP 1.5 on the PC. One thing I don't like and maybe there is a fix is when I import video and have it set to scene detect it detects the pauses fine and put the clips in a seperate folder like it should inside Premiere. Usually I then go to my folder and sort through the clips (outside of premiere in windows explorer) when I go to the folder now there is only one big clip, not many little clips. Is there a way to tell premiere to actually cut the import video into many clips?
