lost tools at DVinfo.net

In one week with CS3 I've manage to do what I never did with any of the earlier versions of Premiere Pro:

(1) I've lost the tools in my tool bar. Only the pen tool remains -- all the others have disappeared. Closing & reopening the toolbar doesn't help, nor does starting over with a new project or workspace. Of course I can use the keyboard equivalents, but this is rather annoying.

(2) My titler no longer works correctly. Can't see the video underneath even though this option is checked, tools are gone (again!), etc.. It worked correctly for about an hour.

Any suggestions besides reinstalling PP CS3? Obviously I hit some combination of keys which made this happen, but I don't know how to undo it!
