New to Premier
Hi. I am an experienced Vegas user brand new to the world of Premier.
Can anyone give me an overview of how I would take a project from Vegas directly into Encore for the purpose of publishing a flv file? I purchased the program only for Encore, I have heard so much about it. I have also heard that encore will export the flv file with a player, is that true? I have also heard much about the DVD authoring abilities of it and am anxious to try it out. Thanks in advance for any help with the flv issue. |

Depends on what format you are editing in. If DV, export a DV AVI file to Encore. For many other formats, an uncompressed AVI would be ideal for best quality, unless you have a good compressor like Cineform available to you. I usually use MPEG2-DVD to get to Encore, but I wouldn't recommend that if you are eventually going to FLV with it.

Thanks for the advice Mike. I have discovered that Premier exports to flv also, wow, that's great. Is there any advantage to Premier over Encore or vice-versa for converting to flv?
