After Effects & Video card?
Is AE using more processor than video card to do its work?
The reason i ask is what sort of video card do i need for AE? is the video card needed to render 3d, effects, etc or..... like Sony Vegas that uses its processors to do the work i can get away with a cheap card Do i need to spend a lot on a card for AE. A more expensive card "should" give you better interactive performance and previews. Usually the export rendering will be based on your CPU power.

OpenGL rendering used to be faster, but MultiCore CPUs are pretty fast at this point.
