Premiere and Blackmagic Intensity or Cineform?

Hi all,

I've not found an answer to this question elsewhere.

In principle both these solutions are similar right? They capture to their own codec for greatly reduced file sizes.

So, Cinemform talk about the resultant realtime performance in Premiere, less rendering time etc. Does this álso apply to the Blackmagic capture? Will I see similar benefits inediting speed. I'm not clear if Cineform offers a rendering advantage or not...

Thank you

Deniz... It doesn't reduce file size. The theory is that using the intermediate codec reduces generational losses and speeds workflow. That's the theory anyway.

If you are using Vista, I'd stay away from Cineform. I installed their trial and it made PP unstable and ultimately unusable. The only recovery was to restore the operating system and reinstall all software. Not good.
