PP installation fails to extract?
I am attempting to install a trial version of premiere pro. However I cannot complete the extraction of the files. A popup box says I should check if I have enough computer space (I have 500 G plenty) and I should check the permissions of the folder the files are being installed to (but the installation is creating the folder!)
I am installing on xp professional version. I've tried to install while in the safe mode, and have the same problem. I do have some minor driver problems I haven't cleared up, I was hoping I could install anyways. But I know Premiere Pro is extremely touchy. Also should I completely turn of norton antivirus? |

(1) Make sure you log onto windows as Administrator or having administrator privileges.
(2) Perhaps the download didn't complete successfully. (3) A misbehaving computer (including bad drivers) is not a good start for anything (neither installations nor normal operations). (4) Turning off antivirus is often a good thing for installations, but I would not expect it to be necessary. You more likely have other problems. |
