16:9 to 4:3 matt??

Good evening,

Here is my problem: I shot by accident in 4:3 with my xl2. I have the rest of the footage in 16:9.

can I crop the 16:9 (native in the xl2) to the same as the reduced size 4:3?? Will the footage look the same when viewed in Quick time??

How would I go about that??

I have been building on elements 2.0 but I also have pro 1.5 if i need to go there.

thank you for any help in this regard.
